Or at least for the month of March you can try out the ESV Study Bible Online for free. Yes that is right, unlimited access to the full ESVSB. Sure it is yet another marketing attempt on this much marketed Study Bible, but it is a great chance to check it out and see if it might be a help to you in your study of God’s Word.

Crossway announced yesterday that they were making the Online ESV Study Bible available free to anywhere, anywhere, for the entire month of March.

A couple of features worth noting:

You can listen to the audio of the ESV from narrator David Cochran Heath.

You can take and save your own notes in the Online ESVSB.

You can highlight words and verses in several different colors.

All you have to do is go to their website and sign in, leaving the code blank, and you can test drive the ESV Study Bible.

Celebrate Reformation Week with a genuine leather Reformation Study Bible (ESV) for a donation of any amount. Click here.

On October 31, 1517, a young monk named Martin Luther nailed ninety-five theses to the castle church door in Wittenberg, Germany. He addressed the abuses of the sale of indulgences and this event proved to provide the catalyst for the Protestant Reformation. In an era when the Gospel had been eclipsed by a system of human merit, Martin Luther, John Calvin, and the other magisterial reformers proclaimed to the people of God that we are declared righteous in the sight of the Lord through faith alone in the person and work of Christ Jesus.

At Ligonier Ministries, we are celebrating Reformation Week (Oct. 27-Nov.2) by offering a genuine leather Reformation Study Bible (ESV) for a donation of any amount. Retailing at $69.99, this is the study Bible for the next generation of reformers.

Get your Bible now at rymoffer.com.

(Limit one Bible per household, while supplies last.)

I received a free sample of the ESV study bible over the gospel of Luke today. It looks to be a very helpful new study tool and has wonderful reviews from many evangelical leaders, including, Jerry Bridges, John Piper, Al Mohler, Mark Driscoll, and CJ Mahaney. It appears to be an OT Surveay, NT Survey, and Study Bible all rolled up into one volume. The intro, outline, and charting of key themes before each book are well done. The color maps and diagrams are outstanding. The study notes are helpful. I need to study more, but I do not find them quite as helpful as the New Geneva Study Bible or even MacArthur’s, but they are on par with these study bibles. If you are interested in purchasing one through Edgewood Bookshop please let me know, because it looks as if we will have to pre-order or wait. It retails from $49.99 for hardback, to $239.99 for Calfskin. Bonded leather retails for $74.99 and genuine for $94.99. Early orders should receive discounts ranging between 30-40% off.

It was brought to my attention today that a video I had embed had an inappropriate link in it. I was unaware of this and apologize. The problem has now been fixed. Youtube automatically links other “related” videos after a video is played and there is no telling what will be there. If you, like me, enjoy embedding videos from time to time on your blog, here is how you turn off any “related” video links, and it is very simple! This might be helpful to do instead of linking to Youtube and then having the videos on Youtube show these “related” videos at the end on their own site.

 How do I turn off the “related videos” feature in the embedded player?

If you’d like to turn off the option to see related videos through your embedded player, simply add “&rel=0″ after the video ID number in the embed code. Here’s an example of what your embed code should look like if you’d like to turn off this feature:

<embed src= "http://www.youtube.com/v/xxxxxx&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"

wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
