For Jesus to say, “Not my will but yours,” was for Him to embrace all that he had been prepared for and all that He had told his disciples about. Listen to Him. He is not relying on prayer. We should never rely on prayer. In reality prayer works nothing! It is God who achieves in answer to prayer…Our faith is not in prayer, but our faith is in our Father…and He will always give the right thing, at the right time no matter how wrong it may seem in the experience of it.
