Memorial Weeked

We had a relaxing weekend at the Lutz household. We played outside, went for Ice cream, had a church cookout, and went to the Lemon’s house for a grill out on Monday. I have a few random quotes and stories that I want to write down so that I remember them.

Friday night we meet some friends at Ice Cream Plus in Lapel. I ordered a Strawberry milkshake for me and Tyler to split and we started talking and enjoying our ice cream and shakes. Tyler, who likes things in order, began to tidy up and throw all of the napkins on the tables away. Next thing I know, I go to drink my shake and there is no cup! Everyone in the place, except me, saw him throw the almost full strawberry milkshake away. Then everyone just got a good laugh at my expense, I had even splurged and gotten a medium, but even I had to laugh at my little neat freak.

Saturday I was tossing the football with Kara and teaching her how to catch it. I threw a nice one right at her, but she moved her hands and it hit her right in the nose, it was nerf. I quickly told her, hey you are okay shake it off. To which she quickly responded, “Daddy, don’t forget I am a tender butterfly.”

Monday was Lauren’s turn. We went to a college friend’s home for the afternoon. One of our other buddies was supposed to come over, but was late. When Goodenough, that is his last name, walked in Lauren, who is quite vocal about not liking boys, ran to Heather and jumped up on her lap and said, “He is the Dude!” She then began to act a little shy.

When your last name is goodenough nicknames aren’t necessary, but The Dude is a good fit.
